In a case of first impression regarding a gay couple, the Court granted Defendant’s motion to dismiss Plaintiff’s action for divorce, where the action was predicated upon the parties Vermont Civil Union. The Court found that the parties were not “married,” and as such, Plaintiff had no cause of action for divorce.  Link to Full Text of Decision
